Australia shouldn't have to choose between protecting forests and the climate
Saving forests and saving the climate were never competing goals, and the federal government has already committed to both. As Australia steps onto the international stage to lead the global climate negotiations this year, it must honour those commitments rather than set a dangerous precedent for forest protection.
