Our climate hypocrisy is now impossible for our neighbours to ignore
Two things happened this week that tell you everything about where Australia really stands on climate change. On Tuesday, gas started flowing from the Beetaloo Basin for the first time. On the very same day, in Koror, Palau, Pacific leaders gathered for the Pacific Islands Forum and heard the UN Environment Programme confirm what the region has been warning us of for years: the world is already pushing past 1.5 degrees.
