As the world becomes increasingly insecure, we’re seeing an alarming retreat from multilateralism that risks pushing some of the most vulnerable communities across the world further into poverty, while undermining collective efforts to strengthen our institutions and build a more stable and prosperous world for all.
Speaking at the fourth annual Climate Integrity Summit, Tuvalu’s climate change minister, Dr Maina Vakafua Talia, said Australia’s climate policies don’t match its claims of supporting and helping to protect its neighbours.
It’s official: not even the World Cup can make Australians travel to the United States anywhere close to the degree they did before Trump came to power. As I have noted before, when a World Cup is held in a country, the number of Australians travelling there usually spikes. For the USA, the opposite occurred.
